Few idiots failed to ruin amazing day 2 of Rally Mexico

What looked like odd interpretations by some drivers, who complained of seeing rocks being put to the racing lines in first two days, turned out to be a real threat with selected couple of first-class morons rolling big boulders on to the road in special stage 20.

Erection-challenged idiots obviously repeatedly tried to cause either an accident or… well, I’m trying hard to find any other reason, maybe I’m just not soaked enough to understand.

Fastest on SS 20 was Jari-Matti Latvala, further increasing lead over Petter Solberg with Sebastien Loeb firmly in the lead and Mikko Hirvonen in second.

Evgeny Novikov ended his day close to start of the last stage, ripping a wheel off and ending without setting a time on SS20. Shame for the Russian-French crew, but hopefully Novikov got fair amount of precious kilometers under his belt on previous stages.

“I hit the rear suspension of Novikov car really hard, really lucky we survived that. It was difficult stage for us now”, Mikko Hirvonen.

“One kilometer from the end I saw some people and after the corner I saw a huge rock in the middle of the road, I tried to avoid it but it was not so easy, rock was on very fast section”, Mads Ostberg.

“Our car is so competitive and overall package is very good, shame we had problems and lost so much time. One rock I hit was my mistake most likely, but another was just in the middle of the road, impossible to avoid”, Jari-Matti Latvala described problems he had this morning.

“Yesterday we had punctures, today we got nail in one of the tires, so it was a good recovery run and it looks like good result for the team. Car is fantastic and I just need to avoid mistakes”, Petter Solberg.

“This is crazy, there were few rocks on the road, 50 kilo rocks!”, Armindo Araujo.

“There was a rock in the middle of the road, I had to slow down to avoid it, but had to instead hit the bank otherwise we would destroy the car”, Sebastien Ogier.
