Photo: Dani Sordo testing Fiesta RS WRC

Ford and M-Sport published a tiny set of photos showing Dani Sordo and Carlos del Barrio testing their new weapon of choice ahead of upcoming Rally Argentina.

After lengthy delay Ford and Prodrive finally announced Sordo to replace injured Jari-Matti Latvala in Argentina, and Spaniard will use the time remaining to get to know the car and familiarize himself with the team.

Sordo is scheduled to do just one rally for Ford with Latvala planned return in Acropolis Rally in Greece at the end of May. It is thought Latvala’s injuries will heal sufficently to allow him to rejoin Ford for Greece, but after Robert Kubica and Matthew Wilson’s injuries taking a bit longer than initially expected I am sort of cautious over any overly optimistic forecasts regarding Latvala’s return. However, if Jari-Matti’s injuries are not as severe he should be back in action in Greece, hoping for the end of all the bad luck and drama that ruined his season so far.

As for Dani Sordo, well, he can do great things for Ford in Argentina, if he keeps it together and avoid silly risks. Can he make to podium? Why not!
