Petter Solberg storms the longest stage of the championship

Norwegian ace Petter Solberg really took his Rally 2 status seriously and pushed like crazy on the 14th special stage, 65.74 kilometer monster.

This effort resulted in Solberg finishing the stage 23.7 seconds clear of second fastest and another Rally 2 returnee Thierry Neuville.

Fact is Solberg has almost nothing to lose and he could have gone for push-like-lunatic approach, unlike the play-it-safe Citroëns, who are looking to finish rally and avoid all the drama.

After 14th stage Petter Solberg in in ninth place overall behind the Volkswagen duo.
