Juho Hanninen leads Croatia Rally after day 1

First day of Croatia Rally ended with Finland’s Juho Hanninen holding on to lead after setting fastest times on three out of four stages.

However, Škoda Motorsport driver did not manage to create significant gap ahead of another Škoda driver, second placed Hermann Gassner Jr of Germany, with only 7,6 seconds separating the two drivers. In overall classification provisional third spot is in possession of Italian Luca Betti in first of Peugeot 207 S2000 cars.

Best placed Croatian crew of Juraj Šebalj and Toni Klinc currently holds on to sixth place overall, with Slovenian Rok Turk with co-driver Enej Ložnar is overnight leader in International regional championship of Croatia.

Rally continues tomorrow with six stages, two of which will be superspecials on the location of famous moto GP track in Preluk near Rijeka.
