Solberg: “3rd overall is not so bad”

The first day of Rally Acropolis are finished, with Petter and Chris third in the overall classification. Sebastien Loeb is leading the rally while Jari-Matti Latvala is second. Mikko Hirvonen is fourth.

A total of 8 stages have been on the schedule today, with two remote-services in Itea. The teams are only allowed to use spares carried in the rallycar at remote-services.

– Third in the O/A standings is not so bad, says Petter Solberg. – Especially considering what happened on SS6 today. We landed in a dip and hit a rock after a jump, damaged a wheel, and lost some time because of that. I also thought we had damaged the propshaft, but that turned out ok in the end. There is still a fair bit left of the rally, so will continue to push tomorrow.

Rally Acropolis continues with 8 stages on Saturday. First car will be on the road from 08:38 local time.

Overall classification Friday
1. Loeb
2. Latvala +6,5
3. Petter +17,7
4. Hirvonen +49,6
5. Novikov +3.55,0
