Seb Ogier leads after two special stages

Early leader of 2013 Rally Mexico is the winner of Rally Sweden, Sebastien Ogier, but even though that sounds nice, it does not actually mean a lot in terms of results, since Frenchman has only 0.3 seconds advantage over Mads Ostberg in second place. Two very short special stages in Guanajuato were merely a warm up for tomorrow, even though it’s hard to say if engines and brakes got close to hot. Avoiding the silly mistakes was the main goal, and everyone managed to do so.

With time gaps being so minimal, it’s all about starting positions tomorrow, and the ability to make the most out of tyres. No doubt, a lot will depend on the state of the surface, and most of us will be comparing the pace between mid-field Volkswagens and low starting Citroën of Mikko Hirvonen. That and the fact that Volkswagen is obviously trying few different things with tyres will make tomorrow a very interesting day. Can’t wait!
