Now your car can sound like a WRC machine, thanks to Finland

Have the monies? Good, hit the shops and upgrade your car to have the speed and the sound of a proper road warrior, be it a rumbling roar or the screaming screech.

But if you’re sort of short on funds and not short on love for the immensely fun sound of a rally car exhaust, there is a solution! It’s cheap, easy and it sounds just like the real thing. Well, to be honest, it sounds nothing like the real thing, but it’s close enough. It will turn your ageing daily driver into a fantastic sounding turbo propelled rocket. And you don’t even need turbo.

As the video below suggests, all you need is a inner bicycle tire tube. And that’s it. Slap it onto the exhaust pipe and go for a ride. Every acceleration will put a smile on your face, even if your car usually takes an hour and a half to get from zero to 100 km/h.

Of course you now want to try this out as soon as possible. Same here. This fantastic invention was… invented in Finland, or at least they posted this video that hit the frontpage at Reddit. So thanks to Finland not only we have some of the most entertaining and fast drivers, we’re not blessed with one invention that could change the future of motoring.
