Don’t miss Rally Helsinki Battle; legends vs current stars with a touch of group B
In about 45 minutes the 2014 Neste Oil Rally Helsinki Battle will begin on the streets of, well, Helsinki. Featuring a host of WRC legends on one side and equally impressive line-up of current rally stars, this show promises to be a fantastic intro into the next week’s Rally Finland. According to the official schedule, the show begins at 14.00 CEST with a very special treat. Four time World Champion, Juha Kannkkunen, will take one of the most memorable rally cars for a spin around Helsinki; Audi S1 Quattro will be in action once again in the hands of a guy who once said “WRC is for boys, group B was for men.”
Comparing current cars to group B beasts of the past, KKK said: “The cars differ like night and day. I would no longer dare to drive between trees in a Group B car. They go fast on a straight road, but otherwise they are difficult to handle”.
