Hirvonen edges closer to Solberg

Sebastien Loeb finished third day of marathon Rallye Monte Carlo safely in lead, but he’s still determined to remain careful ahead of tomorrow’s stages.

Petter Solberg had problem on SS 13 and arrived to stage finish with badly damaged front wheel and a puncture, although it seems he did not lose too much time. Even so, Dani Sordo still remains firmly in second place after Solberg lost too much time due to bad tyre choice for SS 12.

Fastest on SS 13 was Mikko Hirvonen. Finn stormed through final stage and reduced gap to third place Solberg to just 23,8 seconds.

“For you this day was very intersting, for us it was quite hard. I didn’t want to take any risks, I really wanted to get to Monaco tonight! Still long way to go”, Sebastien Loeb.

“It was OK, this stage was really nice. We still need to push but we must be careful and avoid mistakes. Tomorrow things can change again so we must stay calm”, Dani Sordo.

“Car is OK, we’re OK”, Francois Delecour.

“Cut too much into a corner and we hit something and tyre is gone. We lost some time”, Petter Solberg.

“When grip is Ok we feel confident and can push”, Mikko Hirvonen.
