Norwegian driver Henning Solberg will skip the upcoming Rally Mexico next month, according to reports in Argentinian and European press. Solberg’s Ford Fiesta will instead be driven by Mexican driver Ricardo Trivino who was scheduled to replace injured Matthew Wilson.
I’ll take a wild guess here and cite money as main reason for this switch, but I’ll gladly correct myself if needed. Solberg and co-dirver Ilka Minor were among the crews entered for third round of 2012 World Rally Championship but it seems they will instead remain at home.
Not for long though – Argentinian website Corsa Online reports Solberg and Minor are expected to return to action for the remaining rallies this year.
Needless to say, nothing was confirmed or denied by Go Fast Energy World Rally Team or Henning himself, so take this bit of info with some caution.
