Live TV brings Tour de Corse closer to the fans

Fans watching Eurosport’s live coverage of Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse next week will be in for a treat when the Intercontinental Rally Challenge resumes on the legendary island event.

Eurosport will show four stages live, two on Friday 11 May and two on Saturday 12 May, in High Definition and will also utilise innovative SimulCam technology that allows viewers to watch drivers tackling the same section of the stage at the same time for comparison purposes.

Defending IRC champion Andreas Mikkelsen said: “It’s fantastic news that the Tour of Corsica will be broadcast live on Eurosport. The IRC has such a big following on television, and it’s great that rally fans will be able to watch the action live as it happens.”

More than 40 crews will contest Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse, which starts in Ajaccio on 9 May and finishes in Bastia on 12 May. The event covers 14 all-asphalt stages over a competitive distance of 28.96 kilometres. Click here for the official entry list.
