Neuville will replace Al-Attiyah on Rally New Zealand

Thierry Neuville got a nice little surprise in shape of a drive for Qatar Citroën team on upcoming Rally New Zealand, stepping in for team’s regular driver Nasser Al-Attiyah had to cancel NZ due to other commitments.

Multitalented Nasser is looking for top skeet shooting results in London Olympics and decided to offer his car to Belgian youngster. As one might expect, Neuville was quite happy about it.

“This is more than just a great opportunity, it is a real honour for me to be trusted in this way by the team”, said Neuville, regarded by many as the next big thing to hit World Rally Championship alongside selected few other young pilots such as Mads Ostberg and Evgeny Novikov.
