Video: Volkswagen Polo R WRC test in Spain

Among fears, doubts and then more fears regarding the possible bad outcome of Volkswagen’s intention to join World Rally Championship next year, team continues it’s preparation by testing, testing and then some more testing.

At the same time they are strongly dismissing any notion of Volkswagen not making it past the preparation season (which would be this one) and I for one am a true believer that Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia teamed up with still unknown team mates will join the WRC competitors come next season.

Recently Volkswagen ran series of test sessions in Spain, putting Polo R WRC through it’s paces on wide and flowing Spanish tarmac roads, somewhat similar to what the final event of the season will offer. It is still unknown (to me at least) if German marque plans to enter any proper event this year, but there is a possibility they will decide in favour of debuting Polo R WRC in one of the events later this year.

In the meantime, let’s see and hear Volkswagen’s WRC machine as it flexes it’s muscles under the Spanish sun. Oddly enoguh, if you have 3D glasses you can apparently enjoy this video in “full 3D” (nausea highly possible).
