Patrik Sandell: “Croatia Rally organizers failed to deliver my car”

Former Junior World Rally Champion Patrik Sandell and co-driver Maria Anderson will not take part in Croatia Rally, third round of FIA European Rally Championsip.

As Sandell wrote on his Facebook profile, organizer failed to deliver the S2000 car for him, so after week long preparation and recce he is not able to start the rally.

Patrik Sandell and Maria Andersson has since Monday been on the ground in Croatia before the ERC Rally Croatia that runs this weekend. The Swedes have been specially invited by the organizer for the enhancement of the status and attract more spectators to the event.

But for some reason didn’t the promised car, a Super 2000, up to yesterday’s inspection. Patrick and Maria are forced to give up the contest therefore long.

“It is very hard not to get run rally, now that we have been here all week and prepared ourselves”, says Patrik Sandell, who received the announcement early Thursday morning.

No explanation as to what happened, the Swedes have not yet had.
