Østberg prepares for Finland by defending 2011 victory in Estonia

The entry list of the auto24 Rally Estonia held on 20-21th of July has got some valuable addition. In the press conference held today at Catwees Honda dealership in Tallinn news was announced that the winners of last year´s auto24 Rally Estonia Mads Østberg and Jonas Andersson will come to defend their victory. They will drive like last year with Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

Mads Østberg has shown this year very good results and speed in WRC events. In Portugal he earned with Jonas Andersson their first ever WRC victory. They are currently in the third place overall after six rounds in WRC.

Mads Østberg: „I’m looking forward to start in auto24 Rally Estonia. Last year we had a very good rally in Estonia, nice roads and good organization. And we see auto24 Rally Estonia as an inportant step towards a good result in Neste Oil Rally Finland.“

For the spectators auto24 Rally Estonia is offering many new things this year. New web-based rallyshop has been opened and there will be lots of other new things for the spectators too.

Urmo Aava, auto24 Rally Estonia director: „We would like to be even more family-centered this year. For the men we are offering top drivers and good spectator places besides the best rallystages in Estonia. For the ladies the Cosmopolitan women’s area is the place to be in Tehvandi stadium, ofcourse the ladies are permitted to go to the stages also. In Tehvandi we have this year also Lõunakeskus Kid’s area. I would like to thank our partner Radio Sky Plus for organizing Rally Party with top live artists. And we are very proud of live TV-brodcast from Otepää city stage which will be seen live in TV6 Estonia and Viasat Sport Baltic. auto 24 Rally Estonia 2012 is held on 20-21th of July. It is the round of Estonian, Latvian, Baltic and NEZ Rally Championships and for the first time a round of FIA Historic European Sporting Rally Championship. More information: www.rallyestonia.ee
