Codies are unstoppable; they just partnered Dirt Rally with the World RX!

We’ve all been there, saying our wishes out loud, knowing very well that, wild as they are, they could never turn into reality, just because they sound too good to be true. Then Dirt Rally happened and we all took a step back, realizing that yes, wishes can come true and yes, there are developers and designers out there, actively seeking feedback from the players and fans. Just when we finally settled down a bit, all happy with this latest rally game (which, by the way, is still being developed and is not fully released), boom, another wave of this fantastic “too good to be true” feeling covered us from head to toe. Not only do we have a game in which attention to detail literally screams at you and which gets better with every new update, we now have a game which will, in the near future, include World Rallycross Championship tracks and cars. That’s right, Dirt Rally will not only give you an opportunity to try and take Peugeot 405 T16 up the Pikes Peak Hillclimb or take a Ford Escort Cosworth down the Col de Turini descent or attempt to master Peugeot 306 Maxi on supertricky Baumholder stages, no, we’ll get World RX rallycross tracks and monster cars too.

Rally Poland started today and immediately we were treated to all kinds of excitement – can’t wait for tomorrow’s stages. If you add World RX teaming up with Dirt Rally and Codemasters news bit to that, this day just went from awesome to, well, dirtastic.

Sorry for the cheesiness, but I am, well and trully, a big fan(boy) of this latest Codemasters’ coding and design effort. Wow.
