30 minute TV reports for Monte

Lengthy discussions between FIA, Eurosport and Rallye Monte Carlo organisers took too much time, so when Eurosport was finally awarded with TV coverage rights for upcoming rally, there was simply no time to prepare coverage properly.

Unfortunately, what that means is we will not enjoy live TV coverage of special stages, as we did last year when Monte was run as IRC season opener. Put simply, Eurosport will publish 30 minute reports after each leg, with most of them starting at 23.00 or 23.30 with another rerun early in the morning next day.

We know we should probably be thankful for this, but it would be bloody awesome to have stages covered live by commentators on the year of Monte’s return to WRC and with entry list full of potential winners. Shame!
