April debut for Loeb’s Porsche team

Matmut Carrera Cup France season starts at the end of April and one of the teams entered carries the name of eight-time World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb.

Frenchman announced this project last year in partnership with the man who launched his rallying career, Dominique Heintz. Circuit racing is most likely Loeb preferred “retirement plan” – when he decides he’s had enough of “gravel for breakfast” that is.

In the meantime Sebastian Loeb Racing team will run three cars in both French and international championships. French young talents Vincent Beltoise (21) and Sacha Bottemanne (23) were recently joined by third recruit, Jean-Karl Vernay (24), also of France.

Along with its programme in Matmut Porsche Carrera Cup, with three Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, the team Loeb Racing will be present in European Le Mans Series, with a 03 ORECA engaged in LMP2, and a Formula Le Mans. First race of French Carrera Cup is scheduled for 28/29 April in Ledenon.
