Video: Fafe special stage phenomenon

How do you call a special stage which often hosts over one hundred thousand spectators and is regarded by many as one of the most spectacular in the history of the World Rally Championship.

You call it Fafe and after being out of the World Rally Championship itinerary for years, 2 days from now it will once again host world champions and other WRC competitors as they prepare for 2012 Rally Portugal.

Top Ford and Citroën drivers will take part in Fafe Rally Sprint event this weekend in order to prepare themselves and their cars for upcoming Portugese round of the WRC. If you consider yourself at least moderately passionate about the rally, then you probably saw videos or photos from one of the most notorious jumps in the world, the Fafe jump.

Surrounding hills are lined with spectators, tens and tens of thousands of spectators, and the stage is challenging mix of sweeping bends and tricky turns with bumps and jumps along the way. Unique atmosphere and demanding layout are what makes this stage a classic, right next to Col de Turini, Ouninpohja and similar legends.
